Features: The Happy Horse Products Hay Steamer can steam loose hay or two haynets at a time, without the inconvenience of waste water and heavy, wet haynets to hang up! Steam is introduced at around 100°C, killing off the majority of fungal spores, bacteria and dust mites, and neutralising all potentially airborne dust particles. The hay is then lush and ready for your horse to enjoy, complete with all its vital minerals.

YH Testers say:

We were delighted with the results achieved with the Stable Mate Steamer. The quality of the steamed hay is so much better and haynets are lighter but, this aside, there’s a fundamental flaw with the Stable Mate – its size. I could only just fit one horse haynet in at a time, which made the process very timeconsuming. It took 10 minutes for the water to heat up each time, then 15-20 minutes to steam each haynet – so a total of one hour was needed just to steam two haynets. The machine worked well but the tank area just wasn’t large enough.

Please can it be noted that since the above comment was initially posted, the price above has been changed. The Haysoaker advertised in the image costs £275 and prices for more basic models start from £125. Sorry for any confusion. Hattie x
