Features: Lincoln Classic Purple spray contains 0.5 per cent Gentian Violet in a non-sting formulation, so your horse shouldn’t object to you using it. Gentian Violet is both an antibacterial and antifungal agent, and you can use it on minor skin abrasions on your horse. You’ll find purple spray in most equine first-aid kits.
The formula comes in a 250ml spray applicator. There’s also a removable black clip that when in place, locks the sprayer to prevent unwanted leakage and spraying in your tack box. To use the spray, remove the black clip and keep it safe.
Remember, though, if you’re worried by a larger cut or wound, or don’t feel confident enough to treat a wound yourself, always call a vet or refer to an experienced and qualified instructor.
