The sheepskin on this half pad is thinner than most of the others I tested, so it’s a little floppy! The open channel along the spine of the pad means it fits well up into the gullet of the saddle and stays there. Because the pad isn’t too thick, I keep a close contact with my horse, which I need when I’m schooling. This one is considerably cheaper than most and that’s reflected in the quality a little but it still looks good and has washed really well. This is worth having if you’re watching the pennies.
