The Cair Cushion System makes it large and bulky and even the most experienced owners on the yard had difficulty working out which way round it should be used (there were no instructions). Once on, it looked better than expected, but we had great difficulty using a martingale due to its width. The synthetic material caused sweating even in cold weather This design is a brave and innovative attempt to  improve equine comfort and performance but we’re not sure it’s there yet.
