Boett Blanket sweet itch rug

Easily the best rug we ever invested in. Its alot of money and we had to have the extra wide fit for our old fashioned type Highland. Had no mane when we got her and a couple years on, everyone at shows would comment on her lovely full mane. They would stare in disbelief. Of course it wasnt just the rug which helped but it was a huge part of the management. Only one word of warning, make sure there is nothing it can get caught on if they rub. Have an excellent turnout rug too.

If your horse/pony has sweetitch then you need this rug. My young Welsh(ish) cob Bo, has sweetitch and it was a nightmare, until i purchased the boett rug! I tried EVERYTHING before and nothing worked this well! Its light breathable and tough! Bo's favorite thing to do is to trash expensive rugs but this one gave him a challange! I was also worried of him getting to hot but he was fine! I think this rug is the best piece of kit i own!!!!

The Boett has been literally life changing for Tai, who used to suffer extremely badly with sweet itch. He also has the hood on, and wears the Boett at all times (when not ridden). Previous years have been extremely distressing for the horse and all those who care for him - watching a horse draw blood out of pain is not nice! But since having the Boett, Tai's mane and tail have grown back, and his sweet itch is no longer a problem. The hood takes some getting used to, as you have to pull it on over the horse's head - and it's very expensive - but it really is worth the money.
