Used by Your Horse Features Editor Hannah Roche for nine months, on 14.2hh Cob Scrumpy .

What’s great?

Hannah says, “I thought these brushes looked really strange and not very practical. However, on using them, they’ve become my grooming kit essentials.
“Scrumpy isn’t keen on having his face brushed and will often stick his head up. However these brushes are soft and because of the way you hold them (hand on top), I could get around his face easily and he quite liked a circular massage movement that’s simple to do.
“Scrumpy and his chum Jake are both natives with huge, heavy, often knotted tails and the mane and tail brush is a Godsend to anything matted!  It glides through, separating out knots and doesn’t pull out the hair.”

cant work out if i can add things to my previous review!!had to add, we have just bought a mane and tail one for my sisters new puppy, and although we dont use it like i would on shaky, it's fab, and i cant wait to see if it works as well on him when he is older as he is a lassie dog so will need grooming daily!!

I only have the mane and tail brush, but want the rest for my birthday!!It's great, doesnt pull all of his hair out, like traditional curry combs do, but gets through the tangles dead easy, it's great for horses with long and thick manes and tails, I've used it on loads of horses and I've never known it leave tangles!

Amazing. Couldn't believe that I could get my mares so clean by just brushing! They really are worth every penny, I tend to use the long ones rather than the round ones for most jobs, but every single brush and comb I have does an excellent job. Grooming really is a pleasure rather than a chore now.

These brushes are amazing, although a little on the expensive side, they are good quality for the money! My pony has a very long mane and it gets knotted very easily, but with the mane & tail brush, knots just disapear! I would recommend these to everyone!

These are really worth buying - especially the mane and tail brush, which is really well made and does exactly what it should do, without pulling or tearing the hair. The only reason I haven't scored it higher is the fit of some of the brushes to my hands - I have tiny hands and find them a bit difficult to use. Other than that - can't fault them.

RE: Oster brushes

I also rate the main and tail brushes, they get throguh tangles really quickly! I like the softer brushes from the range but I've never gone for a whole kit as some of the stiffer brushes, like the dandy brush, felt very hard and bristly indeed, and I've got a pink-skinned and sentisive horse.
