i have a now 24 year old 15.2 hannovarian mare who still acts like a 2 year old and who can stress sometimes. when i 1st got her she was so unhappy she wouldnt eat even a handful of hard feed and only weighed approx 400kg! when i moved her from where i got her from i tried different feeds in different combinatons which had some success but not enough. then i tried calm and condition and now shes not far short of 500kg and is looking fantastic for a much younger horse let alone a horse of her age. thankyou allen and page.x

does everything it says on the packet I have a horse that does not put on top line and has hormone issues I have another horse with feed allergy issues both put on condition and weight in the right places on this feed The allergies seemed to get better with time (less bumpy skin) Both horses were a lot calmer generally although the mare still needs to be supplemented for her hormone inbalance The soaking is a bit of a flaff in the mornings and I can not leave the feed ready for the yard to give lunch as it turns in the heat but having said that once in a routine you get used to it. It soaks completely and is ready by the time I have mucked out The horses love it and woof it down the moment it hits their buckets so does need come chaff to slow down the greedy ones. I dont mix in the chaff I lay it on the top so the greedy ones have to dig down to find the lush mash.

My horse had a dramatic weight loss and I struggled to find a weigh gain feed that suited him. After weeks of unpredictable behaviour and re-occurance of his stomach problems my vet suggested Allen & Page. Not only did I get a detailed and extreamly helpful reply to my email to the companies nutritionist, but the product itself was a turning point. Within 2 months he's put back the weight he lost and his behaviour has returned to his usual kind and fun self. I expected to pay at least £20 a bag for this feed so was very pleasantly surprised to find it half that price! I cannot recommend this enough and will now only use Allen & Page on my horse. I no longer need the weight gain but after another detailed email from the nuturitionist I now have a good value and high quality feeding schedule set up.
