Your Horse testers say:

These boots fitted really well – the double Velcro fastenings held the boots solid and they moulded well to the leg. They offer good protection with a PVC strike pad over comfortable, impact-absorbing foam. The pad is large, sturdy and extends from front to back. We liked the attention to detail in the design, such as recessed and rot-proof stitching, and a strong but pliable edge binding. The boots are good quality and hard wearing. They proved ideal for schooling and turnout because of their protection level and ability to stay in place. Reasonably priced.

These boots are unusual in that the top Velcro strap points forward unlike most straps which always point to the rear of the horse, presumably this is due to the very good double locking system. This photo of the boots, and in the review when it appeared in the magazine, shows them on the wrong legs! The instructions that come with the boots make this very clear, I also double checked with the manufacturers as it is unusual and an easy mistake to make if you don’t check the cut of the boot. I have a set of these boots and they are excellent as a general all purpose boot.

These boots are very hardwearing and I've only recently bought another set after seven years. Even now, I alternate one set in use, one being washed. They come up clean so well and I've never known the velcro come undone or a boot slip in all these years. They don't rub and I think although they are a little expensive, you do get value for money as they last so long. I also like the fact that they have (recently?) improved the design so I think they are slightly more breathable, although like I said, didn't have any complaints before!
