I purchased a chifney around 10 years ago as I have a strong, opinionated pony who barges, used to rear when leading and would not tolerate a be nice headcollar at all. This bit has been so useful in just reinforcing that he needs to behave and only comes into effect if he starts rearing up. It has been so useful for loading, worming, leading after box rest and countless other occasions. I can appreciate that it could be abused in the wrong hands, but as a safety measure to just say, no you have to do as I say, it is a fabulous item and I feel it is an important addition to anyones kit.
