i recently bought my new tb one of these after the previous owner telling me this was the best bit for her. After trying the bit one lesson i found her mouth had split in the corner. i felt awful!!I didnt not use force on the reins and it was generally a good lesson. After reading different articles on causes for split mouths. Some of the reasons were down to this bit as it does not allow enough syliva to build in the mouth and it can be very dry. I have not changed to a sweet iron bit, and this has seamed to work a treat.
