Studies have been carried out that has shown that classical music or country & western calms down horses but pop music does not.

I don't have to do it very often now with them all being retired or not ridden, but I do still have all the tack here, can't bear to get rid of it so I do give it the once over every so often.

Sometimes I watch tv, sometimes have the radio on, either Classic FM or Radio 2 depending on how I feel, or sometimes nothing at all and just let my mind wander ( well, more than it normally does!!) like Sonia.

Yep, I always have music on when cleaning tack, I have a very varied taste in music so it could be a Scooter CD, Nickelback, Bond or something classical depends on my mood at the time lol.

I like listening to music to clean tack, but me and my friends at the yard usually get together to tack clean, so that entertains us all!

I cleaned mine the other day in the peace and quiet, and there was a bird just outside the door having a dip in the birdbath, it didn't see or hear me and it really entertained me anyway!  Blair always has the radio on in his stable from early  morning til evening as he's home on his own just now, it's nearly always on radio 2 and he loves to listen particularly to Chris Evans' breakfast show - it must be the tone of the voices and cheeriness.  He does not like dance music whatsoever, he stamps his feet and puts his ears back!
