Questions re: horse and insurance/vetting

How much should I expect to pay for a 5 * vetting? I'm also a bit concerned that if something is picked up the insurance company won't insure the horse I'm buying....... what companies do people use for insurance?

Re: Questions re: horse and insurance/vetting

The last 5 stage vetting I had done was about 4 years ago and I think was around £120.  If there is something on it which doesn't make you back out of the purchase, the insurance company will still ensure your horse but that ailment would be excluded from the policy.  I use Scottish Equestrian (which are no longer Scottish!) who are underwritten by allianz, who I understand also underwrite petplan.
