Hi, this is my first time on the forums so yeah haha..
I haven't ridden for 6 months due to my local riding school shutting down, i'm going to book a lesson this week because I've found a horse I really like and hopefully all goes well if I try it out. The horse isn't a 'novice' ride and is more young rider/amateur. He is supposed to be really forward going but doesn't take off and he also has a sensative mouth/contact. This is my first time viewing a horse and he's a competition horse. Anyway, any advice on the following above? Like:
- How to keep myself calm and in control when riding and jumping him
- What I should do when viewing him
- What points should I focus on in my lesson
- Any other advice is welcome, thanks!
