There is usually a veteran clear round at many of the shows, then there is showing.

If you're after a laugh, Fancy dress would be perfect!

Also, Veteran ridden, you just do a small show infront of the judge, each competitor in turn. Walk, trot, canter, circles , fig 8, and a short gallop/extended canter if you like. Sometimes there are Veteran in hand classes too.

Another one is Best turned out, If your tack cleaning is up to scratch lol!

Veteran!  You can do ridden and/or inhand.  We won the veteran at our local show last year - my first EVER showing class!  I was so excited!  It was wonderful seeing my horse completely poshed up - she looked fab and not remotely like a veteran!

well it sounds as if veteren is the consensus but just looked at the classes and theres no veteren class   :( thought there was...so looks like ill have to brush up on his jumping (if his owner will allow) as theyve got clear round sj that can be altered to any height.

If you add some photos to your post (see upload images below the 'post a reply' box, we can all offer more advice!

Depending on the 'type' of horse your boy is, there should be losts to enter? Quite often there is Novice Ridden or Novice equatation. This is for horses and riders who haven't done much showing before!

...good idea dollymix, give us pics and some classes off the schedule!  Clear round's always a good one (well, not for me but for anyone who's got the skill or the confidence or both!!) ;o)
