Hello from Austria :)

Hello everyone!

My Name is Christina and I come from Austria. I worked 3 months in 2010 in Wales where I got to know this magazine. I want to improve my englisch, so I logged on here. I hope you will tell me when you can't understand what I write or when I make any mistake :)

I have a horse called Dygat. He loves to jump, but he has problems with his hooves, so he is not allowed to jump this year, but hopefully we can go on show jumping next year.

I got him when he was 4 at christmas 2007 from my grandmother.

His birthday is on the 26th of january and he's got a very special colour :)

Now a few pictures from him.

 Hello Christina,

welcome to the Forum.. I'm new like you and your English is good so don't worry. Your horse is lovely and i'm sure once his feet are alright you'll be jumping in no time.

What breed is Dygat he does have a lovely jump.

My 18yr ex racehorse is staying behind in South Africa when I return to my home country on 8th July, he is retired now and he will be happy to stay where he has been for most of his life.

I will try and send a photo, he is a beautiful chestnut colour and a prefect gentleman for sure.

Have a wonderful day, how is your weather at the moment?

Janet

 Hi Christina,

Welcome to the UK :-) I too have a few horses but dont get the time with them at the moment due to young children but my youngest is 1 soon and I am hoping to spend more time with them this summer :-)

Your english is very good!

I dont have the time what so ever to compete, but just ride and drive them, I look forward to the days where I can go to shows again.

See you around in conversations

Jenny

Re: Hello from Austria :)

Hi Christina,

Welcome to this forum, I have been riding for 46 years and own a Belgian Warmblood Mare called Sabina (Sabrina) who is a very strong character, one of her daughters has just had a foal a colt (male). My son is getting married to his girlfriend in July both are into horses. At the riding school in the 1960's I was trained by a Lt.Col. ex-Indian Army Cavalry so now told ride old fashioned. Ride with long stirrups which came in useful last week when Sabina decided to spook big time at a killer log in a farm gate and did a rear turning completely round 360 degree then backwards into a ditch, and I don't carry a riding crop or wear spurs just muttering death threats.

Gypsy Gold does not chink & glitter. It gleams in the sun and neighs in the dark.Tonka & Lara my beautiful horses RIP, Nelson,Chloe & Kitty the cats.
