Leo hates anything with feathers - from giant horse-eating sparrows to killer pigeons!  I'm sure the pigeons around my way know he doesn't like them as they wait in the hedgerows and fly out at him as we pass - they then land a bit further on and do it all again!

Courage is being scared to death - but saddling up anyway!

I used to ride a pony who was terrified of white butterflies... just the white ones. Maybe cause he could see them better? He was scared of anything that flapped but if other horses spooked at something cause it was different he would look at them like they were mad. I also used to ussed barrels as wings for jumps on him which he was fine with but if I turned them, pushed them together and asked him to jump them I had no chance in hell...

Dellboy had some days he spooked at everything and some days he didn't care.

 

 

April spooks at quite a lot, she particularly hates when there's washing out. Funniest one has been the echo of my voice and her own reflection.

When I rode Puz, it used to be anything at all that he decided was scary. Concrete tubes that we'd passed so many times, the bins, the gate, electric fencing, the hedge, a plant! Honestly. he only ever planted and stared though :)

Near our stable on the road, there's half an old dark green bollard. It's barely noticable as it's partly in the hedge, yet every time my horse walks past she has to go to the opposite side of the road - even though she's walked past it countless times in the 5 years she has been there!

Try the latest Shetland Ponies Sabrina hates and spooks at why when she is a 16.2h Belgian Warmblood Mare, sometimes though its a try on and figuring out a Mares mind is as bad as a females help!

Foxy freaked at a pogo stick, I wasn't riding her but walking her out before she was backed and after taking most things in her stride I was quite surprised, needless to say the kid just carried on with an evil grin on his face!

It's lonely in the saddle since the horse died.
