Bumps on the underside of his belly?

They are about the size of a penny and hard to touch, he doesnt seem in pain with them.

I'm pretty sure they are insect bites, but not 100% so if any one has any other ideas?

If they are insect bites, is there anything i can do to prevent it? Also is there anything i can put on them to soothe them?

Sounds like insect bites to me, there are a lot of flies around my neck of the woods now, and if it's the same where you are it's a likely diagnosis! (Pictures always help!)

For prevention, just make sure you apply fly spray/gel as thoroughly as possible to make sure you dont leave anywhere vulnerable to bites!

There's all sorts of lotions and potions that people use to soothe lumps and bumps, but if they aren't bothering him then preventing more bites is probably more important than putting anything on the ones he has now.

Make sure to keep an eye on them though, if they get bigger, feel hot, start oozing or bothering him lots then it may mean they are getting infected.

Hope they go down soon!

I've been putting pure aloe vera on them and they have gone down, whether thats down to the aloe of vera or not i dont know.

But they are going down. From now on he'll reek of fly repellent haha.

good to hear! A lot of people like aloe vera, someone at the farm I go to actually has a potted plant of it growing outside the stable, I think she just snaps a leaf of and rubs the juice on straight from the plant!

Well i find it works better than other lotions and potions you can spend fortunes on. A plant is a good idea though, cant get any fresher than that!

I was worried it was an allergic reaction to something, they seem to be disappearing now though, and i cant think of anything new he could be allergic to...
