I am looking to move my horse in the very near future, and have been to several yards to view either part liv, diy or renting. I have done full/part as he was miles away from me being schooled so I only rode him 3 times a week, and I have been DIY for the past 9 years - dont think I could have someone else do him now I wouldnt know what to do with my time and I'd worry that I hadnt seen him haha! Renting a yard has got my attention at the moment, I seem to have been given a great oppotunity, with a but...I've no experience of it! We have our sum to pay, obviously insurances and am going to take out an insurance for caring for other horses (if I decide to do part livery with other horses) there are not that many stables, there is a menage, lovely grazing, a field shelter, most of the boxes are new, a quiet yard, quiet rural area with plenty of hacking, parking, autofill troughs in field and stables, a secure locked tack room, its a really nice place, but I just wanted to know what your views were would you rent and then bring in your own liveries, would you use it as a part or assisted livery? Also I would love to know horror stories to make me aware haha!!
