Oh for goodness sake what next?

I was skipping out this morning and could not believe my eyes, Welshie has pinworm YUK.  What an absolutely pain in the backside (literally for her), so off to get some wormers for everyone and will spend the afternoon cleaning, scrubbing and washing everything.

Just goes to show as my girls never go anywhere and we don't have visiting horses that they can carry a burdon for years - she had them about 9 years ago and I treated religously for years with worming programmes but here we go again.  Strange as she has not been bum rubbing and I am fairly good about keeping them clean under their tails so am very fed up today!!

There is no greater gift than to share time with a creature of such beauty - The Horse.

One of the mares at our yard had it last year the only one mark you.  Vet advised panacur 5 day course.  Our horses never visited either nor did we have visiting horses.  All our together and only she got it.

One does wonder if the eggs for worms can lie dormant for years, also can these things come in on your hay such alot we don't know, also can we blame birds bringing in the eggs on their legs etc. But not to worry anyone but it was suggested that non of us ever open up a plague pit from the middle ages as things like anthrax is still viable even after all this time, I think I have better things todo than dig up plague pits, but you see what I mean about so much we don't know, or in this instance want to.

Gypsy Gold does not chink & glitter. It gleams in the sun and neighs in the dark.Tonka & Lara my beautiful horses RIP, Nelson & Chloe the cats.
