Bot fly?

Today I noticed an open sore on my horses lip today and initially thought it was a wart, however after a good look through the veterinary book it seems that it could be caused by a bot fly larvae.

I was wondering if anyone has had anything similar as there wasnt much I could understand from google. If it was a larvae has it already been and gone and left this scab or just starting? I am led to believe it is a rarer kind of bot opposed to the ones that lay the orange colour eggs on legs. This ones name is G. Haemorrhoidalis.

If anyone could help in the way of how I treat it or just general info that would be great :)

Thank you xx
