She's proven pregnant had a internal perhaps 2 months ago, I was unsure whether she could wax up with only having a little bag because she's not full at all! And she's a maiden so may trick us x

If she has waxed up you havent got long. Has the muscle around the base of her tail gone flabby? Has her lady bit got longer? Is this your first foal? Keep us posted. xx

I'd say no too, Sorry. My Winnie is a surprise pregnancy as I bought her not knowing she was in foal, but he boobs are  fuller than your mare, but still not waxed up. it would be funny if they foaled at the same time, do you have any foal names picked out?

Yeaaa I got my mare not knowing she was infoal too! Really excited she's gone flabby round her tail yeahh, so just waiting for her bag to get bigger and wax then, she's changed in personality to.. She's turned very protective of her space food, back end etc she also tried to kick me the other day when I went to feel her bag? Should I carry on touching it to get her used to it or leave her alone? Noo not really thought about names need to see it first I think xx

when the milk is literally dripping out of your mare, birthing is imminent. I bought Roobee as a riding horse and she gave me a surprise foal too. I knew nothing about broodmares, foaling or looking after mare and foal. Learnt as i went along really. JJ ( the foal) is a year old now and with his new mum. xx

Just to upset things my mare had 2 foals the last one 3 years ago I am informed and she is still producing milk and had mastitis which vet sorted, lovely job stripping a horse twice a day but she did not seem to mind. Now doing her best to get pregnant again, no male horse safe, hopefully the stuff I ordered will do the job of getting her mind on other things.
