I'm so proud of Merlin with how far he's come from the scruffy little cob who couldnt do anything and was scared of everything and I'm pleased too with the fact I know I did it not someone else! But, I think I'm ready to start pushing him now!
I was starting to feel stuck in a rut and wondering why I felt this way and I realised its because I'm sort of babying him.
Just started teaching him to work in an outline, properly teaching him jump now, riding everyday and taking him out at least once a month.
Before, he could amble around the school and jump anything but normally with no clue on striding or take off, I rode him only about 3 times a week and took him out once every three months. However, this may mean a new yard as our current one is just too quiet...
So... i have a lot of work but hope to get him properly up and running this summer- will post vids soon realised how old all my you tube vids are :/
