My yearling has a wart type open wound on his lip,  it did look like a wart/spot last week but then burst, its an open circle now, no blood, its the same colour as his lip with a pink fleshy bit.  What is it and do i need a vet?  I've been keeping it clean with salt water but its growing every day.

Re: Wart?

If it's getting bigger then yes you should get the vet to look at it.  It is probably something simle and easily treated but due to its location and the fact it is getting bigger then have it looked into, incase it ends up affecting his ability to eat.
