Bald Patches on horse

 Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone knows what may be wrong woth my horse!

I got him in from the field to find that he had several bald patches across his back. It is definitely not any tack or rugs rubbing him and there is no sign of lice. I also don't think it's rain scald as the bald patch are not bumpy and neither is the skin broken.

He has been turned out without his rug for about 2 weeks now and the bald patches have only just appeared. They are definitely not bite or kick marks either.

Does anyone have any idea what they might be? I'm completely stumped!

Re: Bald Patches on horse

Have a look at a post by dellybob01 - they're having a similar problem, also posted in the vet/health section.

There are a couple of answers there that may help, so good luck with sorting it out :o)
