Has your Easter been a washout ?

We actually need the rain here in Essex as I live in the driest part of the UK ! But nobody really wants a wet Easter !! We've just had constant drizzle or light rain for the past couple of days. Managed to ride Tenor this afternoon as drizzle was minimal ! It's just been so dull and dark, please come back Sun !!

Massively so.
I've barely ridden him this holiday (2 weeks off..) as I've been feeling really low over the past couple of weeks.. and now it won't stop raining.
Haven't ridden the pony since Friday because of the stupid weather. It's meant to rain everyday this week and that is making me very upset as it's limiting what I can do hugely. NOT HAPPY.

It's lonely in the saddle since the horse died.

Well yes it has been a washout, but I must admit we need the rain as the ground was so hard, and the grass seemed to have stopped growing, and you people over in the east have had it drier than us.

It's been raining pretty much non stop here today, and it's due to rain most of the week on and off, which will do a lot of good.....but it's funny how used to it being dry you get, so that when it rains you feel really miffed, lol !!

It has been horrible for  a few days now but it was really needed. What makes me laugh though is we have a hosepipe ban and it is the wettest it has been for ages!!! The field was really dry and hard now it is really wet with puddles everywhere.

it is horrible weather at the moment in Wales!! :( But people at the yard said it's kind of a good thing because the ground was hardening up  in the sun and now it is more moist. Rode yesterday when there was misty rain but today just mucking out etc and watching the horses playing wilst getting drenched haha:) xx.

The hardest thing about riding is the ground! ♥

Yes a wash out for riding, but for me was actually productive as I found a new yard for my horse which at first sight is lovely with nice people, also enabled me to muck out the house of things not wanted even managed to get my wife to get rid of some of stuff as well, infortunately we are both the same horders, she has new clothes still with the tickets on not worn and I ask her to wear them as if anything happens to her would hate to see new clothes going to a charity shop, the same goes for me.

Been okay in Sussex apart from Easter monday, drizzle/rain all day, but I think we did need it.  Sun's out today though .

yay sunshine today, but very muddy horses from all the drizzle yesterday. im in 2 minds about the rain- the ground is solid and worried the grass spurt wont be as good without it- but i love the sun :)

my horses are my medicine, without them im even more crazy!

YES. Very fed up! I was away for the weekend and then got home homping to do loads of horseing around and lots of being good and revising. I got a hideous virus and couldn't do anything for five days and didn't get to see my horses for a week. Then I had family duties over the Easter weekend and now I'm just really wanting to get out and ride but am still to wiped out from the virus. Plus all my work has mounted up and have got loads to do... Moan, moan, moan... x

In a way it was a little bit of a wash out here in Wilts but it was nice to see the rain back again and its been quiet far as well as since monday its only been raining in the eve/during the night and then sunny and warm with a little wind in  the day. its really nice to see it all growning again and looking nice and green.
