hi, ive got a 6 year old TB who only raced maximum of 4 times and had a year out before i bought him! i bought him to produce a young horse (5 at the time) so that i could look back and think of our journey. As hes my FIRST BOUGHT horse (ive had previous loans) he will be with me forever and will not be sold. To the point...
Poser was trained to fast and wasnt really proven to be a racehorse but with time and correct training he could of been. As you all know race horses are trained from a very early age and poser was trained to hard (what ive been told) so when i got him he was skinny (hip bones sticking out, skinny back&legs and hardly a neck on him) but now hes a perfect weight and looks stunning! I had the vet out last winter and the vet said he had muscle wastage around the hind (bum) and thats what was causing him to buck in canter!
so i was wondering is theres any lunging techniques you could sujest? i know it will take a long time as theres no fast recovery from it but any idea's will help!!!!!!!!!!!
THANKYOU!x
*fuzzy picture few months after i got him
**picture of us, he NEVER let you touch his face but now i can grab his face and hug him and he'll fall to sleep
***riding him for the first time in 6 months (had winter off, and spent other months just bonding with occasional ride and lunge!
