mini poop

Odd question coming

My daughter aged 5 wants to poo pick. I'm obviously all for that. BUT my poo picking rake and dust pan (name?) are nearly as tall as she is.  They seem to make mini wheel barrows etc but i can't find the tool. Anyone seen one anywhere? Thanks

Re: mini poop

Bless her, good to see her getting into it!!! There is one called a speed skip which has a smaller hand held rake, although the actual skip is still quite big but I guess they need to be fairly sizeable to fit a horse poo in, she may find it easier to iuse the rake though compared to a standard skip. I found one in Robinsons, see link below.

Re: mini poop

They do make a smaller handled poo picker as that all they had when I went for one but at 6ft 2in no good for me but possibly good for your daughter, was unaware that the things came in with 2 lengths of handle, the funny rake and the black scoop. The other way is a small trug tub and a pair of rubber gloves but watch out for throwing at mum lumps of poo great fun (i'm evil).

Re: mini poop

Im pretty sure that somewhere online they do a lot smaller versions of shavings forks (i use one to poo pick into wheelbarrow - find it easier) so that might be an idea?

will be keeping an eye on this post as my  18month old niece has already started playing with the shavings forks in the stables (they're so light, carbon fibre material - not metal!) ... cant wait until shes big enough to actually muck out.. haha!

Re: mini poop

We have a wheelbarrow and some small coal scoops - they're good for everyone. Or just get a trug.
