trec

Just been to an intro to trec training day - brilliant! It was held at a pig farm and Rodneys terrified of pigs so that was interesting. We were awful. Rodney bucked solidly through the control of paces section and over the jump - no points! He's always like this in a menage so no great surprise but at least I didn't hit the deck. BUT he was brilliant at the obsacle section. Maypole, rein back, walking over a rustly tarpauline - all no worries. I think I need to find a school to practise in so that we can at least trot round once without rodeo drama then maybe we could actually do a bit better. Got our first ever rosette though for trying hard - I was so excited I nearly cried!

Re: trec

Trailer seemed OK - well we got there in 1 piece anyway despite reversing being required!

Re: trec

Sounds like you had a great time, glad you enjoyed it, I'm sure Rodney will get over his bucking phase, and good on him for doing so well at the obstacle course !!

Also glad the trailer is ok - have you got anywhere to try out a few moves? I used to trundle round our field with a few cones and tyres put out to practise reversing, and flattened quite a few, lol !! Never actually managed to hit anything while I had a horse on board, though, so that's something to be proud of !!
