Of course its not too old.. I have to read it twice as I thought you'd said too young.  Why on earth would 14 be too old to compete!!

i dont think its too old, if your horse was really showing his old age eg arthritis etc. then i wouldnt but otherwise its completely fine!

No it's not too old, but if your horse is weak to do anything then maybe you shouldn't let him compete.

Otherwise, it's fine!

There's a 14.2 at my yard who is 19 and jumps 3ft at home (could go higher I suspect!), of course its not too told as long as your horse is in good health ;)

No 14 is not to old. If you are meaning human, you can start any age, or horse, that's still not old :)

I'm not made of money at all if you haven't got your own horse get a loan, or ride a horse in competitions for someone else. Then try and scoop up some county level prizes, and try and get a sponser. Keep aiming high!

I'd just like to share that I own a 22yr old Morgan mare who is 14.1. She is in good health and has been free jumped a lot in order to keep up her back strength. She has jumped 3 feet 8 inches before, and I currently compete 2 foot on her (only because I haven't been jumping long, I hope to graduate to higher things soon.) if your horse is healthy, you should be fine competing the AA circuit on a 14 year old. DONT BE AFRAID to scratch if your horse starts to feel tired or is showing signs of wanting to quit, or signs of pain.

start off with smaller courses and easier tests and in time you will be more confident and so will your horse! i know people who are in thier late 30's and they are just starting out so youll be fine!!....... hope this helps xx
