Fence posts!

What is the best cream/lotion/paint to put on fence post to stop our horses from eating them?

I would put cribbox on them, you can buy it from your local tack shop.

Creosote is not the same as it used to be because of new rules politicians messing again, I wonder if pressure treated timber can be obtained as sometimes you can get this timber and saves time. But to stop the horse eating timber well thats another thing as for some reason quite a few horses love rotten timber as well.

Cribbox is good but if you have post and rail will cost you a fortune!  We had to use loads on about a twenty foot stretch of post and rail as unless it was thickly painted on our youngsters paid no attention to it & chewed anyway.  Wood chewing can be due to a shortage of coarse roughage in their diet as well as gastric ulcers (...as well as teething, boredom... you name it!) so might be worth just keeping an eye on them in case any are showing any other symptoms!

the cheapest way is to just simply mix water with some horse poo and 'paint' the stuff on works really well as i'm sure you can see the logic behind it!
