My husband bought me a big box of Thorntons, which i'm sad to say have now all gone, why would anyone have toast or porridge when they can have choccies for brekkers? Then tonight my OH is taking me out for a super-duper Chinese meal. This may all seem very ordinary but the only thing i really like to eat is Chinese food! My OH hates chinese food and its a huge sacrifice for him to take me out for Chinese, normally he bullies me into either pizza hut or indian food and i only get chinese on my birthday or Valentines day. Plus he had to leave to go to work at 3.30 am so he could get to the resteraunt (sp) on time! 

 

Can't wait...so what did you get?

we don't do Valentines. I get treated  most weeks of the year with surprise flowers, or a take away. I prefer my hubby NOT to get flowers etc leading up to Valentine's day as the prices rocket and i can think of better things to spend that bit of money on than cards etc. Dont get me wrong i think that when someone makes the effort to treat you like a special person then accept with open arms, but we have been married 12 years gone through thick and thin....... if we dont know if we love each other now we never will.

Haha - my OH is even less romantic than yours Sonia !!

We've been married 31 years, and he was like it even then - I knew and accepted that he was NOT in the least romantic, but I know he loves me and that's fine, he's so good in lots of ways and the best of husbands.

Added to the fact that atm he is suffering from man flu - he caught it from me, and I just carry on as normal, trying not to sneeze and cough over anything I'm cooking, lol, but he really does have a bad cough, and as he is supposed to be out and about seeing clients, he just can't do it without spluttering on them, so that's why he's at home - sigh  I cant' do anything without this lost soul wandering about in pjs and looking sorry for itself.

Anyway, Vicky, I hope you have a lovely meal tonight - I envy you, I love Chineses too......any chance of a doggy bag for me

Cooking steak and mash for my OH as that's his favourite but I'm on a diet so grilled fish and lots of veg no potatoes for me

We gave each other cards.  My husband was saying Morrisons supermarkets were doing roses for £45 - I told him if he ever wasted that kind of money on flowers I would be inclined to beat him with them!  Ah well, he's probably glad he has a simplistic sort of wife, I know others who would go mad if they didn't get the expensive flowers lol!

 I got a bouquet of roses, a little balloon and a bear from Callum but spent it with Woody! Callum is down south doing an apprenticeship so spent the day clipping one of the oldies on the yard with the YO then lunged Woody!

But Woody's V-Day present is a nice big fluffy bed as of today. Moved him from a handful of straw to lots of sawdust on his rubber matting. He also got a trip down the beach today!

I didn't get anything but I did pick up a few things for the wedding today. we're celerbrating our anniversity no tuesday so no point with valentines day. niether of us actually care! I love my lovely OH dearly but I dont a day to tell him that.

 I did very well this year as he bought me a beautiful painting if three white horses.

 

We aren't usually do extravagant on valentines... Think it was a panic buy as he was having a meeting at derby house re the wagon we are hiring over summer... Horsey places aren't ideal for panic buying although it worked out well for me lol

Got a card off the boy and taken out for a meal for our 3 year anniversary! mmm thai! Don't really do valentines day per se but Buds got a big kiss and a valentines 'posh' apple (one of my mums pink lady apples)!

We dont do valentines day - we just see it as a marketing con were everyone puts thier prices up! I would rather have the money!! he he!

plus it was our anniversary on the 25th which was much more important!

It's my 30th on the 11th March and my OH is taking me away for 3 nights - that's all I know the rest is a surprise!
