M&M

I'm going to do some M&M showing in-hand this year, I have a Section D which has the build of one but has the markings slightly like the Exmoor Pony, they aren't so noticable in the photo but now in the winter his nose, under-bit have all gone almost white/cream

Shall I trim/pull him like a Section D (like in the royal welsh) or leave him natural with just dicreet trimming?

I see some M&M's how and all pulled and trimmed to the max then others that are natural :S

Re: M&M

He's lovely looking! I'd go with discreet trimming to begin with and ask the opinion of the judges who will advise on whats best :) sorry couldn't be more help!

Re: M&M

Mountain and moorland ponies should always be shown natural. Most shows wont allow any trimming of whiskers, eye lashes or feathers, but some very discreet trimming if you have a winter woolly is ok. if however it is during the summer show season leave all natural. A bit of baby oil on the muzzle and around the eyes is always good and a small plait in the mane just behind the ears is allowed, but other than that let his natural beauty shine through!
