Re: Are you a 'matcher'?

haha! I purposefully bought a pink bucket and lunging caversson to discourage peoplefrom borrowing them and not returning!!

My friend went one step further, buyign a pink wheelbarrow with flowers on - no one ever uses it! lol

Generally, day-to-day I keep my takc matching....all of Dulcie's tack is black and all of Luna's is brown. I actually prefer brown tack, but the black saddle fited best so it's what i bought! With numnahs etc, I try to stick to dark colours...though not bothered what colour really! I inadvertedly look a bit matchy with Dulcie at the moment, asshe has a light blue headcollar and rug, and I have a light blue fleece - not intentional - I just like the fleece and the rug was a bargain!!

Luna and Dulcie also look a bit matchy stood together as they haev identical red full neck rugs! Lol - again, not purposefully - they were just a good deal!

My tack is brown, cos thats the way it happened when i bought it. I have green numnahs for XC cos my xc colours are green, otherwise i couldnt care less. As long as its not a gopping pink colour! Life's too short for worrying about matching colours. I'd rather be riding than worrying about where i can buy a pink, red, yellow, orange etc bucket, headcollar, grooming kit etc from

My saddle is black but my bridle, martingale, girth, and boots are black

I got the brown saddle as it fitted his high withers perfectly, is soo comfortable to sit on and was a mega bargain :D so now everything else is odd lol.

I am a bit OCD, and my favourite colour is purple....

His feed bins, buckets, scoops, poop scoop, wheelbarrow, rein stops, biscuits and half his grooming kit is purple. Everything else is blue :)

His rugs are mostly blue, apart from a red and green falpro stable as it was super cheap and doesnt rub as it has half a neck and a brown with pink spots lightweight turnout as it is soo adorable on him :D He has 18 rugs..... only 3 were brand new in my defence, I just love a second hand bargain :D

OMG and I bought him a brown sheepkin gp numnah brand new for £15!! Reduced from £45 in the tack shop sale. Had to have it :D

Horse riding is a lot like nuts & bolts. If the rider is nuts, the horse bolts :)

Re: Are you a 'matcher'?

Hmmm, tack everything had to be black - looks nicer on a chestnut and palomino!

Feed buckets, water buckets, haynets, stall guards, lead ropes, feed bins, measuring scoops and grooming kits all are colour co-ordinated for each horse.  I do it this way not for "presentation" but so if anyone has to do my mares for me they know what is whose as they all have different feeds and hay requirements and of course this way medications get to the right horse - the stall guards and water buckets is the biggest clue on who the horse is!!!  Maybe buying colour co-ordianted feed bins was a little over the top!

We went for purple for the chestnut, red for the palomino and when TB arrived we picked Blue!  Actually found some colour co-ordinated corner feed mangers the other day, thinking of buying those too - anyone need some white corner feeders?

Er sort of yes, choco brown for his rugs, green haynet and headcollar, but I have a purple grooming kit, fleece cooler and summer sheet,  altho I have horror of horrors black tack as it looks better on him but he now has a brown numnah and girth with a spare black numnahs and girth.  It does make it easier to see at a glance what is his.

Minty is in all black tack and Loki has brown, at the moment his bridle, breastplate & girth are brown but his saddle is black, I'm in the process of thinking abot buying him a new saddle (again!!) anyway

i don't care about buckets, grooming kit, etc matching but I like to have matching numnahs & boots/bandages. currently i have a red, lime green, purple, black, white, baby blue & brown set lol

all my tack is havana brown. my show boots, bandages, numnah etc are crisp white. my hacking out boots bandages etc are all hi-vis orange including my own point2air jacket. jasmine has purple rugs and feed buckets, rain has light blue and little dolly has pink. the two winter boarders share forest green. so um yeh definately a matcher!

Nope - not a matcher.  When I first got Tehya she had matching stable stuff and grooming kit and so on but I've replaced things with better quality or better value so colour hasn't been an issue.  I had never thought about the tack colour thing but my daughter is obsessed with it so now I notice!
