 Oh! I have done number three also!! I forgot abuot that one. Was also the same horse that i was thrown on by a big strong man and threw me OVER it and i cracked my ribs on the concrete. 17hh is a long way down. But i dont class that as a fall lol

Your stories are making me cringe and squirm! Ive been riding about 6/7 years on and off.
1) I was just learning to trot and my pony who was very on the forehand tripped as I was leaning on his neck because I had no balance :$ I somersalted over his left shoulder and landed on my feet!
2) Riding this pig of a horse at college that I did not get on with. You had to ride him with a schooling whip in each hand as he would fall in so badly. In the indoor school, achieved canter in the corner and the wind made the door rattle a little bit so he spooked to the right and I got dumped. I was SOOO sandy!! I got back on and cantered again and managed to lose my stirrups when he galloped off but sat a gallop to halt transition pretty well. He wasnt right in the head that horse...
3) Again in the indoor school on a nicer horse, again spooking at the wind blowing the doors. All the horses bolted but mine was at the back in closed order and he kind of took 2 strides of canter, bumper into the horse in front, did a mini rear then realised it wasnt all that scary. I just sort of slipped off onto my feet :)
4) Fell off Boyzie when I first got him. My fault, we were jumping and my stirrups were far too long and I was too ahead of the jump, folded early and just kinda somersalted down his neck. He then proceeded to jump the fence and me!
5) On an ex-racehorse, I asked for canter as quietly as possible and he literally bucked vertically and I got thrown into a fence. My second worse fall, I got knocked out, concussion, my shoulder dislocated momentarily but managed to pop itself back in, and he kicked me as he cantered past. Mega swelling of the head and a new helmet :$ If I hadnt have been wearing my bodyprotector the nurse reckons I would have fractured or broken my collar bone and ribs, so I always ride in it now.
6) and 7) Twice in one lesson. This is recently, so after his long break from work and whilst I was sharing him with a friend. Doing a grid and a bit nervous, he felt it and jumped one and two nicely but ran out at 3 and i jumped it without a horse! Landed on my bum laughing. Theres a video on youtube lol. Then jumped again and we were fine, the upright went up to 3foot and he was fabulous! We landed, I lost my stirrups, and then somehow also my reins(!) dont ask how. He circled and proceeded to head towards then jump when the instructor was attempting to put it up. I managed to gather up my reins and stop him, so we were stationary in front of the jump. He literally then leapt it - funniest moment of my life. Landed, circled in trot and I just slid out of the left door onto my bum! How embarrasing!
8) Riding my friends horse whilst she rode Boyzie, rode up to the jump well, last minute he decided not to jump and ran out to the left and I somehow flew over his shoulder with my left foot on the pole about 2ft in the air and my right foot in the stirrup!! Couldnt do it again if I tried but I got back on and we jumped it :)
9) and 10) My worst fall ever. We were jumping like 18inches, possibly 2foot, and went over the first time and just didnt concentrate (as always) stayed folded and patted his neck for jumping so well, he then tripped and I flew off onto my bum! We then jumped a few more times and I concentrated on sitting up and staying straight and he was lovely, jumped it a 5th time and he napped straight after the jump and I came out the right door onto my knees and popped my hip out. Laid there for 45 minutes until they rolled me onto my back and it popped back in! That was exactly one month ago today and hasnt put me off. The week after I walk, trot, cantered, 2 weeks after I popped a small jump with him and 3 weeks after we jumped a spread 3ft5" high and 6ft wide! This week we are doing 2ft6" and im not nervous on the approach anymore. He's so much better jumping bigger and he hasnt napped since! :D

Ouch!!

I've been pretty lucky, I've been riding for 8 years and had a lot of falls but never anything too serious! Most of them were from I was younger and I've come off current pony 3 times, all jumping..

We were jumping about 4 foot or there abouts in Chase me Charlie and she decided it was too big (fair enough!) and I went over her shoulder and slid down the post! Quite surprised that it was pain-free and only a scratch on the hand - definitely my most dignified fall ever!

A couple going over some small ones where I was a little bit winded but I reckon I've been very lucky :)

When I was younger had a few roughish ones, had to ride a little pony who spent his life trying to get me off... threw me off at canter coming down the centre line (I was only about 6 or 7), did a bit of bronco, had my foot caught in the stirrup for a few seconds once when he threw me off, threw me off twice with my grandmother watching and again with my mum watching.. yeah, I didn't have a good seat!

Once on my head on a jump (on a 12hh going over about 2 foot), gone out the side door when the pony I rode didn't like the music for musical chairs, but never anything serious. I have fallen off quite a bit but I'm just lucky most of it has been when I haven't been far from the ground! Have watched my friend break her wrist, get trodden on and fly into about 3 foot 6, and another fly into a fence, so feel pretty fortunate! :)
