Rider/helper wanted for a couple of days per week. Very flexible to how much or little you would want to be involved. No financial contribution required. No Novices.
I have owned this affectionate, sweet mare for the past 4.5 years. I got her as a project but had other horses so wasn’t able to spend as much time with her as I wanted until last year. She is coming on nicely and I want someone who can have some fun with her, but is realiable and consitent, so can help out and give me a couple of days off a week.
She can be pushy and very forward going (but doesn't bolt), however I have recently started Parelli with her and she has calmed down a lot. She responds well to Natural Horsemenship and is currently ridden in a Dr Cooke Bitless Bridle which I find works best (please don't ask to ride her in a bit). She can be quite sensitive so can be a bit jumpy, therefore I would say she is better hacking out with other horses, although I have hacked her out on her own - it isn't much fun! She has a nice scopey jump but is very inexperienced and rushes.
Tillie is NOT a novice ride and needs someone who is confident and experienced around horses and will do some schooling on her, although I am happy to go through this with someone if they are a bit rusty! Ideally I would like someone who is also interested in Natural type horsemanship activies, even if you haven't done any before - as long as you're happy to learn.
We have an indoor school (brilliant in the winter!) and a horse walker, with access to off road riding. No contribution required, I just ask that you are reliable and fair, and can get yourself to the yard (North Swindon).
My friend is also looking for someone to help out with her TB at the same yard, so may suit a couple of friends looking to ride togther.
Please only contact me if you are genuine and serious about being involved with horses.
