I am pretty sure there is a weight limit, something like under 3tonnes and you dont need any different licence to the norm. But if its over 3 tonnes then you need to get a heavy good vehicle licence. Im not sure if 3 tonnes is the right number but its something like that!

It also depends on when you passed your driving licence!

this link should explain it all ^^^

hope this helps! Xx

Re: transport(:

For a trailer you need a trailer licence and for a lorry you need a lorry or as said heavy goods licence unless you are over...40 or something? There is some year that anyone born before that year is exhemt from these licences (due to experiance or something)

This one is a hot potatoe and get it wrong trouble, except for the ancient ones on this site who like me can drive anything from a traction engine, tractor, lawnmower on my driving licence also pull a trailer without another test also 7.5 tonne lorry, watch out as well for going over max weight for the rig as this too easily done.
