Haha, Hilton was never really the horse from hell, but for those of you who don't know four months ago he was so dangerous that we couldn't get a saddle on him (this is a problem which has escalated in 2 summer's that we've had him).
I am so pleased to say he is a completely reformed character, I have stepped up to the plate and demanded respect from him (with hour upon hour of groundwork) and he looks to me for guidance all the time, he also trusts me and his confidence has grown so much.
Over the last month we've been to 2 dressage competitions which have gone without a hitch and I even had a jumping lesson on him today (where my superstar boy jumped 80cm with about 30cm to spare). As my instructor says, we are a real team now!
After we got a 2nd in prelim 10 yesterday I ended up in tears (happy ones for the first time in ages).
So many people told us to sell Hilton, if we'd have listened to them and given up then I would never have the partner I have today :D
Below are pictures from the second test yesterday (which i went wrong in) resulting in a rather disappointing 8th place-that'll teach me not to look at the tests before hand- and one from the one a couple of weeks ago where we came 6th, trust me not to have the camera on hand for the better test :P
