Tenor has been treated to a new lightweight turnout, I've been looking for one with a detachable hood ( not that easy to find ! ) He does look cute in red, only worn it once and christened it with a roll in the mud lol.

I haven't (my Boss has instead to promote his company) but a lovely new White Saddle Cloth :)

I designed my own and went with http://www.tallysew.co.uk and would recommend! Lady was lovely, designs are unlimited and she's cheap!

A cool heat rug which lets the horse regulate his own temperature, it seems to work really well so far :) blog.equinecompare.co.uk/2011/06/revolutionary-new-horse-rug-comes-to-uk.html

Hi Leanne, yes I did buy Tenor the Amigo lightweight with hood. It only just fits him though, he's only 14.2hh but has large shoulders and a thick neck ! Do you find that the cut of Horseware rugs can be slightly small ? Tenor has the 6ft. It's a shame that the front closure straps are not adjustable. I do like the overall design of the rug though and it dries out nice and quickly after heavy rain.

Lyn, I'm afraid I don't like Horseware rugs mostly because you can't adjust the front closures - Bracken is a big shouldered, big bummed cob, and I like Mark Todd rugs for her, as they fit really well, and have good adjustment on the front.

Hi Sue, yep i know what you mean, I was looking for a light weight with removeable hood so thought i would try this one, last Winter I bought Tenor a Shires medium weight turnout and have now realised that Shires or Weatherbeeta suit him best. However he does have a Horseware heavy weight stable rug and the fit is perfect it's a fab rug.

Yeah, I've had Shires and Weatherbeeta in the past, I'd rate both quite highly for the er ....how shall I put it? larger horse lol !! Nice and deep, anyway.

yeah amigo do come up small and she also has the 6ft but where shes only young and quite narrow it fits her beautifully although i doubt it'll fit her this time next year! she also has the shires MW and its huge on her, drowns her like a dress! but keeps her nice and warm as the rug almost wraps allthe way under her belly, the x. sursingles are at the shortest they go! weatherbeta also swamps her atm but i got a really good heavy weight from robinsons last year and thats really good and ajustable although the hood fastened up round her neck with clips which wernt adjustable and they also all got pulled of in one fair swopp when she retacted her head through the fence at great speed but my saddle put them back on for a couple of quid!

i put the amigo on her last night and at the yard they had almost torrential rain for most of the night and i bought her in this morning and it was damp all the way through, but perhaps that was a bit too much to ask of a lightweight summer turn out :P shes out in her shires tonight as were forcast rain again! who'd know it was july!

Oh I feel really mean now, I haven't brought the girls new rugs for years, but if it counts I have taken 12 of their rugs in to be cleaned!

Otherwise, they all got new haynets (colour co-ordinated) a few weeks ago as mine were getting tatty.
