welcome and go luck with it hun.

It has been calculated thay any two thoroughbreds picked at random will on average have more than 13% of their genes in common.

Re: anyone want to embark on a new fit camp with me?

sorry wackywelsh for not replying, not been on thread in while....Viki, I couldn't have explained it better myself...

Not been on in while, been ill, and having bad problems with my stomach atm, so having blood tests etc to find out what's up and if it's a food allergy...ugh...but good news is I have a horse on loan, so although gym after work isn't happening now..horse riding after work is...

Last saturday I rode for hour and half. Then Sunday am rode for 1.5hrs and in the pm for 3 hrs. Monday had hour riding lesson. Wednesday 1.5hr riding. Thursday am 30mins riding to test new saddle and pm 1.5hr riding. Friday 1.5hr riding. Today 45min riding...

I've started to keep a food journal to try and see if there's foods that are setting me off (gluten, dairy etc), and have discovered that I don't actually eat all that much tbh, so that's not too bad...once start to feel better, I will be doing gym classes on day offs, and carry on with riding on day offs and after work...

Bit frustrated with everything atm, as feeling really ill and shattered most of the time, but going and seeing horse I've got on loan everyday just gives me that extra energy, even if it's for a few hours!

Really need to get some scales to see my weight!!

I tried the food diary thing too.  I found it quite difficult to pin point certain foods but after a few months began to notice things.  Ive got IBS.  Have found dairy makes me feel sick, really bloat too.  Some fruit really hurts like mango is the devil!  Cant do spicy.  I use soya milk in cereral, soya based yoghurts and drink herbal teas, esp peppermint.  Peppermint is great for beating the bloat!!

Well Ive not been to gym once this week, cos Ive been on placement, then show and now working.  My membership only allows access between certain times.  Have ridden Velvet once...almost dumped in a field.  Have been eating well tho.

Got back man to Velv tomorrow cos he never came on thurs, so hopefully more riding on the horizon.

I think i have eaten realatively alright this week, although i don't know how much i have lost as i don't own any scales!! On the other hand i have eaten much more fruit and veg to replace all those choccies!! i find eating raw carrots and apples quite filling after one or two, definetely more healthier than those sweets!!

However i have found it dificult to eat under 1500 calories, i usually eat either the 1500 though sometimes it does slip to 1800!!! Personally i think i eat really well up to lunch, then when i get home i just pig out. I started a food diary, i worked out about half of those calories is  from when i get home!- i just can't stop eating when i am in the house! Any tips on how to get out of this habit??

On the riding front, Jazz isn't 100% atm, so riding is out the door for this week, and perhaps next week too. Although, i have seem to taken up yoga, in my spare time, whilst watchign tv i found this fitness channel, which is a plus!!

Well Ive been to the gym, Ive hardly ate any crap and Ive put on weight.  I am now officially the heaviest Ive ever been!!

I used one of those scales the gym that gives you aprint out of your body fat/BMI.  Despite being the heaviest Ive ever been, my body fat and bmi is great so I must be more muscle than fat.  Makes me feel a bit better.  Would still like 2 inches off my waist and hips tho.

As for riding...that has been well and truly hit on the head until I get to bottom of Velvets behaviour/poss seizure.

I've not been good on my diet but I'm not a person who eats loads anyways, been out and got cycling shorts so I go futher on the bike, and a new sports bra so everythings more comfortable!

I went to the kettle bells with my fiance the other day, LOVED it!

But not convinced I've lost anymore weight. The thing about the machines in the gym is they're so much more accurate than the ones at home so yours at home may be out and plus the ones at the gym are funny anyway.

i wish i was more fit as well. i want to loose a bit also so i cant look slim in my new working hunter jacket! i went to the shops on saturday and bought loads of healthy food and there is no more tempting yummy things in the cupboard either. going to the gym 3 times a week.

any tips on an excercise workout plan?

in our gym we have a bike, weights, back extension thing, pull up things, indo board for my balance.

sorry i dont know the technical terms for things!

an indo board is a really good investment but is bit dangerous t first until you get used to it. has helped my balance dramatically. will use it whilst watching TV. (its soo fun)
