Re: anyone want to embark on a new fit camp with me?

I'll join ya!!

I have sorta started Spinning on Mondays but I work most Mondays...would like to start going to Gym 2 times a week, the small one has just been all done out, but it's still nice and small, not too busy...just need to find a price for the sessions...

I'm fed up of looking chunky on a horse...so want to get fit...

Aims:

1 - eat better at work...as I work on checkouts I see all the food coming through, biggest downfall is the choc chip flapjacks...so take in my own snacks (ie - healthy crisps, those cereal bars)...drink less coke at work

2 - eat more fruit at home

3 - go to the gym atleas twice a week

4 - I don't own my own horse...but try and go riding atleast once a week

5 - go down to 8 1/2 stone

I'm not very good at staying self motivated though

good idea....

walking more, I need to do that! My thing is I get nervous about leaving the house sometimes...as I'm learning to drive I do have to walk places, but I do drive myself to work (my dad takes the car back), if I were to walk to work I'd get fit, but it's the nerves....might start walking home from work though, I live up a big hill...so this coming weeks target is to walk home 3 of my 4 working days....

It has been calculated thay any two thoroughbreds picked at random will on average have more than 13% of their genes in common.

IM IN...

Oooh.... I just got a cross trainer. I intend to use it 30mins every day....

Im also calorie counting... I tried cutting the crap and really struggled with the cravings... so I can save calories for an evening treat!!!

Luckily I have a fairly active job and spend a number of hours a day walking.... With what feels like a lead weight on my shoulders...

Im not overweight but would really like to loose a stone to get back to my former self...

Home is where the horse is....

Its a good start, I'm lucky in that I'm not overweight and I'm fit but not the way I want to be.

Balancing balls are brilliant as you can do it at home while listening to whatever you feel like, that way I can do some exercises everyday on all my body.

well this week my 2 active days were Tuesday and thursday where I walked for about 2 hours on Tues, and 3 hours thurs...also went horse riding both days...and also today, went walking around hills for about an hour looking for wild ponies (which we found! :D :D )

Been buying 'healthier' snacks to take to work (Alpen bars / nutrigrain bars), so I would save money and not buy the exoensive unhealthy choccy bars at my work place...didn't do as much exercise as wanted, but hopefully next week will be better

I've been really bad, I've been well again so had to give up for a few days but still did 5.2 miles a day on bike and had healthy enough dinners.

did yogalates (yoga mixed with pilates) after work today. Was really good. Can feel it in my tummy and thighs!! At the time it didn't feel too intense, but it was a nice relaxing way of working out after work. I think I'll definately be doing it again....Friday we're going to try Boxercise! :D I'm loving it!

same weight is better than gaining weight!! lol, sounds like you had a good time at the show, :)

This week I've been pretty good, bought healthy snacks for work (although still had some junk now and again - I'm addicted to the lindt choccy, but did manage to resist the really naught choc flapjacks now!)...

I went to yogalates Tuesday...did a lot of active work on wednesday or thursday at work...and friday I went riding and did boxercise (very sore today from boxercise! Was so intense but fun!!) don't know what I weigh as have no scales, but don't think I will have lost anything....next week doing spinning on monday and yogalates again.
