Hi - I am thinking of setting up an online photo show website.  Just wondering if this is something people would be interested in?  You would receive a rosette to fifth or sixth place and was thinking maybe a small rosette for those who don't get placed.  Maybe a small prize for first place.  I am going to do free entry for the first month to get people interested.  Does anyone have any comments or ideas and how much would you be willing to pay per class - I was thinking it would have to be about £4 a class to make it worth doing for me.  Any help very much appreciated. xx

 There are a few such sites around now, I have entered on a couple of accasions and won some nice rosettes and Buttons won a stable name plaque.  

Next month I'm sponsoring a class with 2 nights B&B for horse and rider and a friend.  I think they are popular, you just have to be sure you can compete with the more established ones.

Would you do a more relaxed class for pleasure riders that will make their horses look smart but not necessary in correct turn-out? An on-line photo show website sounds great, and the idea of rosettes appeals, but make sure you check out other sites first to make sure there is enough of a market for you to do it too.

 there are already lots out there. i set up one back in oct but had to abandon it before it begun because of coursework. i established it again last week and already have entries coming in.

it's a nice idea i think but however when there are too many out there i think it will decrease entries as people don't want to be paying lots & lots of entry fees every month.

Thanks for all the comments guys - think i'm guna give it a go as i can only work part time due to a health condition so if i can manage to make some money working at home it would be great!  I'm just designing my website but i will let you all know when it's up and running cos it will be free entry for the first months show xx

^^^ i agree, its rotten when you are up against derious competers and their stunning horses with an army of grooms!! maybe try to target the everyday cobs/family ponies?? great idea though :) x
