What your best horsy memory?

Just curious, and board

Mine, galloping bareback along the river banks, during the full moon, it was amazing, just the sound of the river and my mares hoof beats, and no-one around to spoil it. It was the best feeling in the world, and no-one to spoil it.

Having to walk my old Cob Tonka in hand when walking past some small trees in flower when he takes some on a branch instesd of eating them he gives them to me. Also when I went into a coma for 3/4 hour Tonka stood guard letting no one near me, then me waking up to a wet nose and tongue. Tonka sadly missed died May this year at the age of 30.

Gypsy Gold does not chink & glitter. It gleams in the sun and neighs in the dark.Tonka & Lara my beautiful horses RIP, Nelson,Chloe & Kitty the cats.

I've got so many.......... hard to chose the best one!!

I think I'd have to say it would be picking up Alfie when he was only minutes old. I swear that is why we have the bond we do today xxx

The best memory i have is of flying over the ocean and watching the stars and eating a shoe lace. Landed on an island like the one on Lost and had a right jolly time making a stable out of bamboo and leaves. Then we went for a swim with a dolphin and caught a fish which we ate around a camp fire.

Re: What your best horsy memory?

It has to easily be the first time my loaned ex-riding school pony softened and worked in relaxed outline for the first time. It was just me and him an a huge outdoor school, the sun was out and he relaxed his back, engaged his back end, dropped his nose and away we went. It doesn't sound like much, but he'd not worked in a proper outline for years having been used for novices at the end of his career. He made me feel like we were flying around the school in perfect unity! Miss you Duffy!

Galloping on Dusty through the fields at night bareback also if there was a fence in the way we would be over it in no time at all he was the most brave and confident pony i knew. R.I.P Dusty
