eeeeeeekkk! So excited!

So as most of you know Flash was a real pain in the bum - but we had started making some progress so I decided not to sell him.

Well last night I went on a hack with my sister and he was very strong but all in all the hack went well. We came back and both me & my sister rode in the school together. This is the one place I would trust him with my life. And we had a mad bucking and rearing session.....

1 step forward and about 20 steps back it feels like.

So enough is enough and I am going to look at a horse (hopefully) next week, a 14.2 welsh d gelding - hacks alone & in company, first or last, never reared, bucked and never naughty. Although does have a lot of character. Full loan with option to buy for right home. (So fingures crossed!)

Which means as I don't need money from Flash straight away I can offer him on loan for now too :)

Yeh thats Flash

This will be so hard as I love him to peices, but he deserves a better home where he can be worked a lot more and he'll be a lot happier. He loves to be out of the field working, and I don't have enough time or confidence to keep him working and hacking ad much as he would like.

If you've tried your best and it's not working for you, then this is the best way forward for you both.

Good luck with viewing the section D.

It is a hard decision to make but by the sound of it for the best. Please  be honest with the loan home about him though. I hope the Welsh D try out goes well.

Re: eeeeeeekkk! So excited!

Irobson - I ride Flash in a noseband and flash on a hack with his bit as he does live to open his mouth and go! But in the school I ride him in a rubber pelham with a curb chain as he works so much better with this on. He goes into a nice outline and listens to me so much better and turns when I ask etc etc. He doesn't tend to open his mouth with the pelham so I don't bother with one. I think the less tack around the head the better!

Divasmum - I would never lie about him, I will be 100% honest and will encourage them to ride him more than once to get a true idea, as some days he's fine and some he goes nuts! I will be putting him up for sale, but would consider lwvtb. I want a forever home for Flash with people who will love him. I know he can be so well behaved if someone has the time to ride him every single day.
