Do some of your non horsey friends say things about your horse or horsey life that make you do a double take, not quite believing they've actually been stupid enough to say this stuff? If so, I want to hear them please. This is for a new section in the magazine. Email me now with all those absurd comments and it could end up in print!

they say my arthurs a gypsy old plodding nag - he is a 6 year old gypsy cob and totally beautiful - non horse people look down on him

i was talking to my totally non horsey friend one day about a 3year old tb mare i had at the time and forgetting shes was non horsey i said, "yeah shes a super little mare but shes very green"

she turned round looked at me in total seriousness and said, "good god marissa, i didnt know horses came in the colour green".

i nearly died laughing lol

We were parked once in a public park preparing for a competition, when a little girl came past with her dad and said (about our gorgeous 17hh+ grey Trakehner mare) "Daddy look at that donkey!". Well I know she's got generous-sized ears and is grey but really.....As you can see from the photo, she's rather gorgeous and no donkey!!!!!

one saturday my brother in law was over and i had a show the next day so i say to my husband and brother in law i've got to bath merlin (my shetland) so i get him from the field and bring him into the garden my brother in law says very serousley how to you get him upstairs to the bathroom!!! after alot of laughing i told him i use a hose in the garden but can you imagin a full grown shetland pony in the upstairs bath!!

another one a well meaning relative handing me a very old very past it saddle that he rescued from a skip and saying thought you could use this!

This year my Mum has very generously offered to buy Sir Poncelot a rug to keep him warm.

Bare in mind my mum has seen me through all my horse mad child hood, teenage and adult years and should actually know better.

She is insisting I wrap it up and 'He can't have it till Christmas Day', so I've had to go and buy another one to keep him warm(he only came with lightweights) until I am 'allowed' to unwrap it on Christmas day!!

She is here for Christmas so I can't get away with pretending!

We had a new person arrive on our yard who has owned her horse for just over a year.  She rode horses as a child, but it was a lifetime ambition to own her own and now in her later life she has achieved it - fantastic for her!

She was in the yard one day getting on to her horse and it struck me that she was mounting on from the right hand side.  I asked if there was any specific reason for getting on this side, thinking that there may be a medical problem or something and that was why she got on that side.  She said that the reason was that it was closer to the step!  I had to contain my laughter and just merely stated that it was odd to me as traditionally you mount on the left hand side and if you turn the steps to face the other way the left side would be closer to the steps too and she would be facing the right way to leave the yard!

We Had a 33 year old gelding in our field and my 22year old jack and then 2 shetlands a young girl shouted mum dad look a mummy horse and daddy horse and two baby horses ...

it made my day and i didnt correct her i just agreed ;]

my friend when i was grooming my horse

me- thats his forlock

and my lovely boyfriend ;)

we were walking past the fields near my house and there were some ponys out with no rugs and he turned to me and said

''omg them horses havent got there jacket things on ''

so i refer to my rugs to jackets now ;)
