i dont think it is the same, i think you add water to aquamax and it swells up? Bedmax is basically shavings with massive flakes [:)] try looking at the websites? x

I have never used bedmax so don't know if it is the same. Aquamaxz comes in bags and lokks like cat litter when yo empty the bag with the first bed you spray it with water to get it to activate and fluff up, thereafter you just mix it into the the normal bed and any moisture in the bed fluffs up the pellets - web link below. http://www.aquamax.co.uk/bedding.htm They usually have a stand at the big shows and have free samples. I love the stuff - wouldn't change away from it know I have discovered it.

never used it for horses but for cat litter it lasts for ages and is super absorbant and never gets smelly

she wasnt just a horse she was the best
