Anyone been to Badminton?

Hi, i am planning on going to a few of the bigger horse shows this year such as Blenheim palace and Burghley etc. I am looking at tickets for Badminton horse trials at the moment, i was just wondering if any of you had been there before - if so is it good - it sure looks great lol x

Re: Anyone been to Badminton?

I went to Badminton years ago and it was red hot all day, but utterly brill.   Now we go to Chatsworth as it's our local, and brilliant, but only a one day event, so the first time I went I didn't know what to do as all 3 phases are going on at the same time and I got into a bit of a panic because I didn't want to miss anything!  I wanted John to experience the xc as he's never seen anything like it (and this is only a 3* remember) and he was gobsmacked.  I think it's well worth the money because as you say, if you go to Badminton etc, you are only watching one thing, wheras at Chatsworth you could watch your fave rider do all three phases.  We are organised now and take a picnic, but I usually can't resist a poachers pasty.  And I know exactly where the Joules tent is...!
