Problem..

Ok so I'm not the average 12 year old! I'm bigger than I should be, not as in I'm a normal 12 year old who thinks she's fat, I am. I've tried slimming world, it worked..then we had to change clubs and I don't go anymore, it doesn't work for me...trying to do it myself doesn't work, salads don't work...the list goes on! What can I do? I feel like I want to eat all the time, it's depressing! I hate it!

There is no secret so close between horse and rider <3

Re: Problem..

You can eat, just eat the right things with only the odd choc bar or crisps.  No fried food or juice and stick to 3 meals a day with healthy snacks in between.  Meals need to be the correct portion size and not too many carbs.

Re: Problem..

If you start feeling hungry go and do something else, like taking dogs for a walk, Cut out crisps, cakes, biscuits and replace with fruit. If having cooked breakfast have it grilled not fried ( apart from the egg of course.) The basic idea is cut down on bad food and increase on exercise, therefore you are using more energy than you are putting in.

Re: Problem..

I thought I couldnt do it but then I decided that I wanted it so bad that I worked so hard for it - In the end I lost 3 st. It is a wonderful feeling - I feel so happy now! It makes you feel much better

You just got to want it enough - then you will work towards it to the best of your abilities, its the same with most things i.e riding etc...

Re: Problem..

If ever i feel im putting on a little extra weight i cut out chrisps, choc and cakes and eat rice cakes with flora light and marmite on or have some fruit but dont cut the choc etc out totally cos it'll only make you want it more, i allow myself a cake or something at the weekend and then behave myself all week. it works for me. x

Re: Problem..

Just eating a seinsible diet will help including having at least your 5 a day. Riding and walking your dog will also help. Do you like swimming because that is very good exercise. It may also be that you will grow taller and then be slimmer.

I was a large 12yr old and randomly all of a sudden it just dissapeared over 6 weeks! All did was go swimming nearly every weekday and cycled to my pony and back everyday as well as spending the whole weekend more a less living at the yard.

Re: Problem..

I have the opposite problem. I'm underweight and I just can't put on weight. You just have to be sensible about it, healthy eating and more excercise. When you're older and taller, I'm sure you'll loose it all! And, hopefully, I'll gain some!

Re: Problem..

Try to exercise more... swimming is a good one and obv riding! =) Basically... an average woman needs 1490 calories per day to stay at an average weight. If you eat less calories than that (and do regular exercise) you will lose weight.

Estimates vary but for a person of average weight, brisk walking on easy terrain uses about 300 kcal per hour, with over double that for hill climbing. SO if you eat 1300 calories a day and walk for an hour... you will lose a bit of weight. If you can keep it up you will lose weight. If you can be bothered to do the maths... it will work =) Good Luck x
