Hi I am 13 and entering my first show jumping. It's only going to be small jumps and on a hrose I have on loan and it's unaffiliated... but what do I wear?!!?!?

I have heard many things and have tons of questions!?
Can I wear chaps?
Do my boots have to be black?
Is it okay for my body protector to be navy? Do I need to wear it underneath my show jacket or over it?
Can I wear a black show jacket or does it HAVE to be navy!?

Help please!

I also need to know - is it okay that my hat has a silver strip down the middle or do I need a velvet silk to go over it?

generally you an wear any coloured jacket  for jumping i think, stock or shirt and tie beige cream or white jodhs  a showjumping or a champion (silver down middle) hat i think you can wear chaps, but i think it depends on the show.

when you now what it takes to win your horses heart the bond can become stronger than any lead rope- pat parelli

yep, you can wear chaps - before I got my gaiters (so it looked like I was wearing long boots) I used to wear chaps all the time. or you can go in without chaps on if you want to, especially as you're only 13.

your body protector can go over or under your jacket, and your jacket can be any colour at all. mine's a grey tweed, and my hat has a sort of strip down the middle. boots don't have to be black either. good luck!

when i'm showing i wear my white jods, white shirt, bright purple stock tie, black jacket, and black long boots and i look the bees knees =D

Hi - but are you allowed to wear long boots if you are a junior!?

Hiya. Your jacket can either be black or navy, it doesnt matter. You will also need a tie or stock, Cream ,Canary, Beige or White jodphurs, Shirt, Boots (gaiters or chaps with short boots) and a hat. Body protectors arent compulsory but are reccomend :) Black or navy body protectors are fine and it doesn't matter which way you wear it. Whatever is most comfortable :) You may also wear gloves (reccomended) a hairnet, a hairpice and a stock pin :) Hope this helps :) xx

Black Toggi Short Jodphur Boots and Black Tuffa Gaiters.

Dublin White or Cream Jods

Stock Shirt (Shirt and tie okay to)

Dublin Black Jacket, with Gold piping.

Arait Gloves

Champing/Jumping Hat

Jumping whip

Sometimes a Body Pertector ( Depends what my horse is like on the day)

My horse Wears:

John Whitaker Open front Tendon Boots (& Hind obv)

Thorowgood Gp/ Jumping Saddle

Good english leather Stirrup leathers and mark Todd stirrup Irons

Leather stud Girth

SheepSkin half Nummah

Any nummah thats clean! Lol

Eggbutt Snaffle

Stubben Bridle

Brestplate with martingale attachment.
 

Thats a big, scary jump..... SIT BACK AND LEG!!!
