Course I don't think that, lol! I completely get where you're coming from. I'm glad she went out with you today. You must try and have more faith in him, he sounds like a little treasure. How did you feel today? I'm really confident when hacking on the roads but I have to completely keep my wits about me when I take him in a large field as he is sooo full himself and becomes a bucking bronco! He gets so excited. It can be quite scary actually as he means to get you off. He may only be 13hh but he has a habit of getting his head right inbetween his knees and really tries to get you off. I have his teeth and back checked annually and I am positive there is no discomfort there - he's simply naughty and full himself, but I wouldn't want him any other way! Lol! x

course its normal!!it will take time, be patient and persevere, u'll get there in the end!!truly madly deeply by savage garden is "our song" so i sing that if i get sick of katy perry (i dare u to try it, just once!!its so funny!!) or singing the alphabet gets some fab looks!!

keep going and dont be scared to admit your scared (if that makes sense) it sounds like you really want to trust this pony, so dont give up just yet!

Hi, i had a fall off my pony a few years ago, i was out in company and the other horse spooked at horses running in a feild, they both went galloping off and my pony turned a 90o corner and i fell off so did the other rider.

After this is took me a long time to get my nerve back, i went out with a friend, who had a really nice safe reliable horse. And she made me talk and sing all the way round or when i got scared to take my mind off it and in the end i leant to trust him again.

I kept him as i knew it wasn't him, he spooked because the other horse spooked (he is now retited), but i think you did right, as it is not worth it if you are that scared.

The lesson hacks sound a good idea, good luck and your new pony sounds really good.

Not flash backs as such but when i got to the place were it happened i was allways nervous to go by and wondering if the horses were going to be in the field and still am a bit to day. But i knew when i went by that point, (Scout) my pony didn't care it was just be who worried, and talking and singing did work.

As i didn't ride him for a few weeks afterwards as i broke by wrist as well, he was very liverly and i hated the feeling of being out of control. They all spook through even the old ones, some just worse than others, but as you get to know the new pony you will start to know when he spooks. When was the last time you went out on him?
